On April 15, 2009, skyecandy released the skyecandy Skype Extra for global beta testing in the Community section in Skype Extras. In four months, there were over four thousand skyecandy beta users from over 150 countries who were happy to test the service in its early days.

The skyecandy Extra is our Skype app where members can check-in to video speed date over Skype. This is where members choose their Matching Details, select their number of speed dates, experience 5 minute speed dates, vote Yes or No, rate a date's Friendliness, make personal Reminder Notes, Review and Confirm all matched dates and send P.S Notes to any YES votes.

The skyecandy website is the online home for the skyecandy service. This is where members access their personal members area to view the Interactive World Map, update their speed dating profiles, check dating Results and lots more.
